ABOUT ME
My name is Greg Newby and I am a professional light heavyweight boxer with 10 wins, 5 by the way of a knockout. In 2012, upon becoming the Olympic boxing alternate, my fitness priorities shifted from individual goals to community-based fitness. With more than two decades in the Washington D.C. fitness community, I decided to catapult my career as a personal trainer. With a background in boxing, my expertise are grounded by the fundamental lessons boxing has taught me over the course of my lifetime such as persistence, balance, discipline, and resilience—lessons I underscore in my fitness philosophy today.
Beyond my boxing career, my fitness beliefs are largely derived by my family and community. With two daughters that motivate everything I do, my fitness ideology has shifted once again. My outlook on fitness is focused on sustainable and healthy lifestyle changes in order to enrich the longevity and quality of one’s life as a means to center loved ones.
